The above is how NOT to share the gospel of Jesus Christ our Lord.
If you don’t understand how sharing like this is self righteous, holier-than-thou, and a sure turn off, I’m not sure how to help you to grasp the obvious.
Warning people like this turns others away from Jesus Christ; it will not serve you or the Lord to try to shame others to Jesus, or guilt them into salvation; fear will not be successful either. Driving another to Christ through fear is not the free expression of love, nor is it their free acceptance and willingness for salvation.
God knows the difference.

Yep, that’s not going to help at all. Doesn’t work. We all get beat up enough in the world, I wanted to feel better, not worse after going to church.

Care to mention the right way to bring people to Christ?

Jesus said that sin arises in the heart and goes out to the world—not the other way around. The scribes and pharisees had a saying that it is okay if you think it—just as long as you do not do it. Jesus said this to pull the rug out from under them so NO ONE could claim righteousness of himself. I don’t know about you, but that list on the sign captures pretty much all of us, Christians and nonChristians alike. This is why it had to be by grace and nothing else. No one escapes from the list in this life—not even the person holding the sign.

I agree with this, but how is the right way to bring someone to Jesus?
