Pretty song. My son and I just returned from a month touring Europe by car and couchsurfing. We avoided cities and the worn busy faces there. And my family lives outside a busy city — we are so happy with our choice.

Now as to the song, yes it is a pretty song. It’s one of those songs that stays in your mind and you find yourself humming it later on and aren’t even aware of it. And yes, Sabio, I do live in the country; I wouldn’t live anywhere else.

Cool, I hope not hierarchy works well for you. Folks to write “@” or use a person’s name when addressing someone else to keep it clear. But that is how personal notes should be written anyway.
I love being introduced to new people by folks. I use to live in rural Japan in a thatched roof house but it was too rural. My water came in from a stream via a plastic tube. No heat, no light except my kerosine lamp. And I had to walk to the outhouse. I drove my motorcycle up from the city and had to park 1/4 mi from my house and walk up a path through the woods.
I lived alone and so that only lasted 6 months. And no internet in those days.
I’ve lived country for 3 years in the US and loved it – well, except the 3 restaurants were all the same. Nowhere is perfect, but country is heading in the right direction.
Do you think Heaven will be a city or a vast National Park? 🙂
Don’t some Christians think heaven will only have 144,000 inhabitants? That wouldn’t be bad for a city. 🙂

I think Heaven is going to be something that we cannot even begin to imagine and I too believe it will be much more inclusive than we think. I couldn’t begin to understand what’s awaiting us there.

If there is a heaven and a god, then I agree — I can’t imagine how it could be anything but beyond our imagination. And as C.S.Lewis invites the enemy of Aslan come over to Narnia to the shock of Narnians, I imagine the same will happen. It is because of this inclusiveness that I have no worries — not that I worry, put I think our minds are all divided — atheists all have little theists inside and theists have atheists. I am more Buddhist than not, so I am a non-dualist of sorts where none of those terms really makes a lot of sense.
Oooops, sorry, too much philosophy.
Point: I agree with inclusiveness — I wish more were like C.S. Lewis in this regard.
